Woww it’s so nice. With AS3 Franto could get .3ds file from 3d max, parse it, and draw it on screen. More then 16000 faces is rendered less then 200 ms! wow! This is rock. Can’t wait for the source!

People at Necromanthus.com are really rock! They built PC games: Warcraft, Diablo, Doom, etc in Flash.
They also built in Shockwave (Mortal Kombat, Quake, Deus Ex, etc).
Currently not a full games, but who knows for next time?

If you want to convert PPT (Powerpoint) to SWF (flash) using free tools, this tips should help you. The idea is using The OpenOffice basic macro.

What I do is convert the PPT to .swf with openOffice. I need to do this from the command line for my purposes, but you could do it from the GUI as well. I export each slide to a separate .swf, as the .swf’s open office creates are a little wonky and difficlut to navigate. I then use SWFCombine to stitch the Openoffice generated .swf’s back into a single .swf

Both programs are free and run from the command line. For the openOffice part, you’ll need to write a Macro (in basic) and a bat or shell script to run it.

The nicest part about using openoffice is that it maintains vectors from the ppt.

Well this should be post about 1-2 days ago after Fabio Sonnati post this in FlashComm mailinglist. It’s about VHScrCap an alternative driver for screen capture driver with are compatible with flash player and available to share in flashcomm application using Camera.get() the as we did with Camtasia driver.
The good point compare with camtasia is that VHScrCap is free for personal used.

Today Vladimir Hmelyoff, the developer of this driver give a solutions about how to enable setup tag (x & y coordinat, with & height, fps, the VHScrCap. Beside using AMCap he also provide us to use VideoWDMControl. And my opinion the last one is much better.

Macromedia telah merilis versi lanjutan dari Flash Communication Server yaitu FMS2 (Flash Media Server 2) setelah pada oktober kemarin versi betanya dirilis.
Selain features-2 nya yg baru para FlashComm developer tetap berdebat tentang lisensi dan pricing. Memang faktor limit pada penggunaan bandwith sudah dihilangkan dan menjadi sisi positif dari sisi lisensi, namun yg membuat banyak pihak kecewa adalah tentang total maksimum user malah berkurang. Jika sebelumnya utk edisi Profesional max user mencapai 2500, namun sekarang terbatas cuma 100 user padahal harganya tetap (US $ 4,500).
Pada FMS2 edisi Personal tidak tersedia. Namun utk para developer tetap disediakan edisi Developer yg sifatnya free edition.

This is really kick ass AJAX implementation. A Chat application combine with Google Map. People at Midnightcoders who build this application said that they are using WebORB Message Server for the chat application server and Flash + AJAX as client.

This example demonstrates bi-directional messaging between heterogeneous (Flash and AJAX) clients and WebORB Message Server. The server performs additional processing to geolocate chat users, injects necessary information in messages so users can plotted on the map.

Tak terasa tepat hari ini sudah 2 tahun terlewati dalam kebersamaan dan berkah yang tiada tara. Ya tepat 2 tahun lalu 10 Nopember 2003, kami menikah dalam upacara adat Bali.
Rentang 2 tahun ini dengan berbagai bumbu-2 pernikahan beberapa cita-2 juga sudah tercapai misalnya dengan kelahiran Galuh, putri pertama kami pun telah terwujudnya keinginan utk punya rumah sendiri yg walau mungil tapi home sweet home kata orang.
Memang 2 tahun belum seberapa, belum lagi mencapai perkawinan perunggu, perak atau emas (kaya medali aja.. ). Namun dgn selalu menjaga komitmen dan cita-2 bersama serta tentunya atas ijin dan berkat-Nya tentu harapan utk menjadi pasangan sampai akhir hayat bukan hal yg mustahil.
